Description of the Project:
The sound design for Mog’s Christmas Calamity was integral to the story telling of this film. With only ‘in vision’ dialogue lines supplied in the edit, the sound design was created completely from scratch. Everything had to sound utterly believable to make this CGI and live action story a success. Many tracks of foley and bespoke sfx were recorded for the chaos in the kitchen. Much time was spent on Mog herself, the subtle footsteps, the rustle of fur, and of course the vocalizations of Mog, expertly performed by our secret voice of Mog. The sound design had to work with the ebb and flow of the beautiful score and the mixing of over 150 tracks of audio to create the final mix was meticulous. The finished piece shows how good ‘real-life’ sound design can be when combined with a great story.
