Description of the Project:
These are stamped and addressed envelopes to the Postmasters of 10 African nations. These countries do not have a proper system of addressing. So each unique, personalised envelope design contained directions, phone numbers and maps helping the letter find its way to the correct destination. Inside each envelope was a letter from new company ‘What3words’ explaining how they could solve the problem of an addressing system for that nation. The design on each envelope formed part of the message; ‘look what it takes to get a letter to someone in your country!’
